The Pietà (1498–1499) is a masterpiece of Renaissance sculpture by Michelangelo Buonarroti, housed in St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City.
The statue is one of the most highly finished works by Michelangelo.
Maestra Evelina Della Vedova’s mosaic tribute of the Pietà has portrayed the sensitivities and emotions that Michelangelo so masterfully captured. Her placement of hand cut marble, natural stone and cooked limestone is impeccable and precise.
This timeless and sophisticated mosaic tribute will undoubtedly become a family treasure to be admired for generations.
